CHUCK JONES

RED DOT AUCTION

I had the chance to take part in the Chuck Jones Red Dot Auction. This yearly event brought together over 150 artists from around the world, including me, to support a great cause. Each artist donated a 12-inch square artwork anonymously, so the attendees could bid based on their genuine appreciation for the pieces, without any bias about the creators' identities. The Red Dot Auction is a crucial part of the Center's annual fundraising efforts to maintain its important community programs. As an artist who was able to contribute to this event, I feel honored and delighted to have been a part of it.

Inspiration

Inspired by the iconic animation work of Chuck Jones, particularly his involvement in the beloved 'Rhapsody Rabbit' short film, this design project aims to capture the essence of creativity and wit found in Jones' artistic style. By exploring hidden letters within Jones' imagery, the design respectfully pays homage to his legacy while introducing a fresh layer of intrigue. Much like the animated short featuring Bugs Bunny's playful interactions with music and visuals, the design embraces whimsy, humor, and surprise, inspired by Jones' distinctive approach, to evoke the spirit of his animation legacy.
